African performing Arts are multi-talented African cultural dancers, diverse and covers diverse talents from music, dance, storytelling, poetry, history and writing with much influences of African music. The contemporary art dance of Africa is characterised by a dynamic list of creators, who creates and capture socio-cultural realities of Buganda cultural experience. Africana Performing Arts presents the best of African realife traditional and contemporary dance from Buganda King dom organised by the African Descent Youth Engagement team. The Center focuses on authentic African music; rhythms and Dances of antiquity, and storytelling. We showcase a wide array of indigenous musical instruments, and the colorful traditional outfits necessary for a better understanding and proper appreciation. Our goal is to safeguard, cultivate, and share the performing arts heritage, and the ongoing creativity of the various African cultures with all who are interested to benefit. These forms of expressions, their meanings, values, and aesthetics that are embodied in them, offer many benefits ranging from physical, educational, spiritual, to social and economic needs.
