Each year, Hogan’s Alley and Black Strathcona matters fill with joy and excitement of African Descent Festival and parade all come with an exciting music festival parade. The African Descent Parade extremely an exciting moment to honour people of African Descent in Vancouver, and British Columbia heritage especially the history and heritage of African descent in Vancouver and Downtown East side historic area Hogan’s Alley and Black Strathcona appreciate African descent culture, music and life styles and tribute to our heritage in Vancouver.

Time 9:30 am-12:00 noon.

The parade will run 1.5 hours begin at Stadium Chinatown SkyTrain station located at the corner of Beatty St and the Dunsmuir Viaduct. We will march towards Main Street crossing through Union Street at Hogan’s Alley, then turn right at Jackson Avenue and continue right turn onto Prior Street and turn left at Station Street ending the parade at Thornton Park where the African Descent Festival will open at 12:00 noon.
